Eligibility FAQs

Do I need to be currently working in a child care program?

Yes, to be eligible for a T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Scholarship you need to be working in a license/registered DSS child care facility.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

Teachers, Directors, Owners and Family/Group Providers are eligible for the scholarship.

How many hours per week does an employee need to work for the School-Age Credential Scholarship?

Employees need to work at least 15 hours per week for the School-Age Credential Scholarship.

How many hours per week does an employee need to work to be eligible for the Early Childhood Credential Scholarship?

Employees need to work at least 20 hours per week for the Early Childhood Credential Scholarship.

How many hours per week does an employee need to work to be eligible for the Associate or Bachelor Degree Scholarship?

Employees need to work at least 30 hours per week for the Associate and Bachelor Scholarship.

Is there an income requirement for the scholarship?

Directors/Owners need to earn at or less than $21.15 per hour and teachers need to earn at or less than $14.45 per hour.
