T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Project

The T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Project, now in its second decade, is flourishing throughout the United States as more and more states recognize the benefits of a well-educated, well-compensated early childhood workforce.

T.E.A.C.H. (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) offers an effective strategy for addressing the education, compensation and retention of the early childhood workforce across the country. The T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Project is also building the capacity of educational institutions. As a purchaser of college education credits for thousands of early childhood professionals across the county, T.E.A.C.H. has played a significant role in increasing the demand for early childhood college level coursework.

T.E.A.C.H. states have reported that the scholarship program helped create more relevant coursework and have been a catalyst for a more flexible and responsive higher education system, which now offers a wider variety of coursework, as well as, non-traditional hours, distance learning, satellite locations and accelerated degree programs.
